Last summer I wrote the “Multiple Choice Letter #1.” Your kids will love multiple choice letters – and you’ll save time too.
But sometimes, “fill-in-the-blank letters work well too. Here’s a sample fill-in-the-blank letter that will zip up your letter-writing. I’ve left this blank so you can cut, paste and fill it in with the least effort.
The letter even includes a section for crossing the road jokes, which you can find at Jokes’N Jokes

What to pack in that first letter
This week, our oldest left for camp. So of course we immediately dashed off our first letter. Hard to say why, but that first letter is always a mind-bender. It had been 10 months since I’d written my last camp letter. And as usual, I had such a big packing list filled with things I had to say in that special, first letter:

Kids love to get letters!! Don’t we all. Some parents will send a little care package filled with a comic books, some little games, a bandana, posters, photos or other items, but no food, please. When my girls were very young, they would write letters to Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, and even to the tooth fairy. As a good mama, I found myself writing a lot of letters at 2am. And unfortunately, my youngest daughter, Shannan, never missed a chance to ask a dozen questions in her letters. She loved writing letters, but mostly, she loved getting letters. Welcome Back to another season of Letters to Camp!
Where has the time gone? It always seems like suddenly we go from April and vague notions of camp to June and the last-minute preparation for another summer of great experiences for our kids, and of course letters, letters, letters!
Believe it or not, this is the only blog I know of that is dedicated just to writing letters to campers. Check out the posts for lots of great info – everything from sample letters to joke sites to letters from the family pet! And be sure to check back soon for more great information on letter writing.
