A Good Disconnect

When I was growing up, kids didn’t have the constant electronic tether to their parents that they do today.  It caused the inevitable problems of course – for instance, never knowing where my brother was at dinner time (and having to call everyone in the neighborhood to find out), going to the wrong mall entrance to get picked up and missing our mom, not knowing when she’d get there to pick us up, etc.

Asking Family & Friends to Write Your Camper

Send a Quick Email

Every year, my sisters send great emails to family and friends so that everyone knows when their respective kids will be at camp, where to write and what is acceptable to send.

This is a great idea because it gets the camper’s extended family engaged in letter-writing – without the typical confusion of having to figure out the camp address, guessing what the camp will allow etc and only remembering to write after the camper comes home.
